If you are wondering why you seem to be staying up so late each night to work on your projects – it may be the way that you’re wired. In other words, it may be not your fault at all.
In an article that I rencely read online it states that our sleeping habits are actually genetically wired within us. Â There are three main categories of sleepers.
Night Owl
There are the “Night Owls” that usually go to bed at 12am to 2am and would get up at 8:30 or 9:00pm
Early Risers
There are the “Early Risers” that go to bed at 9pm and get up around 5am.
Hummingbirds
A combination of the two are called “Hummingbirds” and they can switch back and forth to the night owl or the early risers based on the need.
According to the article you are more at risk for a premature death if you are a night owl. The article suggests that there has to be a paradiam shift in our society to allow people to get the sleep that you need.
In other words, because of the demand of the work place – calls in the midnight hours and the demands of deadlines – people don’t get the sleep that their bodies need.
If you are wired to be an night owl than you do your best work in the late hours of night. If you are wired to be an early bird than you think and brainstorm better in the mornings. So, if you have a 9-5 job you’re not going to be able to fulfill your full potential.
My Own Online Business
This is why I started my very own online business. I wanted to work my own hours!
I am a night owl and do my best work in the late hours of the evening. In my previous job, I would have to wake up early and work throughout the day and I’m not wired for those hours. By having my own online business I am able to work the hours that I want.
Your Schedule
Not only can I work the hours I want, but IÂ am able to do whatever I want through out the day. In other words, I can create my own schedule.
I get the sleep that I need and get to work when I am at my best.
